Giraffes Can't Dance is a best-loved, rollicking rhyming picture book, perfect for young readers. Summary of the Book Gerald the giraffe longs to dance, but while all the jungle’s got the beat, the poor giraffe has four left feet. The tall and lanky giraffe is a bit wobbly in the knees, and his every attempt to prance results with Gerald on the ground. It’s time for the annual Jungle Dance, where all the creatures of the forest shake their respective tails. But poor Gerald gets jeered by waltzing warthogs and Cha-Cha-ing chimps when he attempts to cut a rug. He hangs his head in shame and leaves the dance floor. There is one little cricket who believes in Gerald. He chirps a morale-boosting song of self-confidence that soon gets him up on his feet and ready to prance like never before!  With colorful and whimsical illustrations accompanied by delightful rhymes, this book will be much loved by kids. About the Authors Giles Andreae is the celebrated author of numerous children's books, including K is for Kissing a Cool Kangaroo and The Chimpanzees of Happytown. He lives in London with his wife and three children. Guy Parker-Rees is a well-known illustrator.
