Classic First Flush is an authentic and traditional Darjeeling tea from the high elevations of the Gopaldhara Tea Estate. The tea is harvested from bushes that are more than 135 years old and were initially planted by the British. The flavor is prominent as the weather is also dry and cool, ensuring slow growth. The plucking is of such fine quality that the tea can only be hand-sorted, and the machines used to make the tea are very few in number. This tea has a traditional Darjeeling fresh flavor with a prominent flowery character. It is very light on the palate with a sweet and smooth, clean leather flavor. It has a very strong and pronounced aftertaste that lingers on for quite some time.
