This is the TV tie-in edition of the book Gossip Girl 1, the American young adult novel series written by Cecily von Ziegesar. It is the inspiration for the Gossip Girl teen drama television series. Summary of the Book The Gossip Girl series revolves around the lives and love interests of the well-off teenagers at an elite private school in Manhattan. This book depicts how jealousy and betrayal creep into the lives of the girls. Blair Waldorf sneaks away from a party to have a good time with Nate Archibald, her boyfriend. But they are interrupted by the return of Serena, Blair’s old friend. Blair is not really happy as she knows that Serena and Nate were physically involved the summer before Serena left. She ignores Serena and encourages others to do so. Serena is clueless about the cold shoulder she has been getting from everyone. How will she handle the situation? About Cecily von Ziegesar Cecily von Ziegesar is an American author. She is best known for the Gossip Girl series, and has also guided a ghost-writer on the series, The It Girl.
