Grant thigh pad, also known as a thigh guard, worn by batsmen in cricket. The Grant guard is worn on the thigh on the side facing the bowler (eg: a right handed batsman would wear it on the left thigh), for protection from impact with the ball. It is usually worn under the clothing.
