African Daisy (Dimorphotheca Ecklonis White) - This flower is an annual with beautiful white daisy-like flowers. It can easily be grown from flowers seeds, and it prefers well-drained soil and will do best in full sun. Many people refer to this flower as Cape Marigold. The African Daisy is a very nice flower for the home garden and is easily grown directly outdoors from flower seed. Dimorphotheca is a hardy, spreading annual that is a native of South Africa. Blooms are 2 - 4 inches across in brilliant white in color. An excellent variety to sow from flower seeds , as it will produce extravagant color for weeks. Prefers full sun in well-drained soils. African Daisy care is simply deadheading to encourage continual blooming and watering at the base of the plant to keep leaves dry as they can be susceptible to fungus. A well-balanced fertilizer can be applied a couple of times during the growing season.
