First of all, Welcome to our seed store. Our okra (Lady finger) packet contains 30 high quality seeds, which we select and pack. Before sowing seeds, it is important to prepare the soil by mixing manure with it in a 30:70 ratio. This mixture supports better seed germination. If quality manure is not available, you can proceed with the soil you have, ensuring it is clean and free from weeds or insects. Open the seed packet carefully over a white sheet of paper, as some seeds may be tiny and hard to see if they fall. Once the soil is ready, plant the seeds at a depth of about half an inch (0.5 inch). When watering, only use a sprinkler or sprinkle water gently with your hands - avoid using a pipe or mug during the first week, as strong water pressure can disturb the germination process. Seeds typically germinate within 10 to 18 days, depending on the variety. When the seedlings reach approximately 3 inches in height, you can transplant them into different pots or your chosen locations. Regularly monitor the young plants for signs of weeds, pests, or insects. If any are detected on the leaves or in the soil, treat them by spraying Chlorpyrifos or Cypermethrin.
