Heartbroken by the recent loss of his son, celebrated Hindi novelist Vishwanath gets back to writing after a hiatus. Through his writings, we are introduced to the household of a wealthy man named Lala Motichand. Lala has three sons, each going through a specific stage in life. We are also introduced to the relationship between Lala’s personal servant Mange Ram and his son, Parsadi. Through these writings, Vishwanath confronts his own life and tries to make sense of the 21st century India.
