Why satire? When the mind is filled with annoyance and dissatisfaction due to the discrepancies around the country, society and surroundings, satire becomes powerful support or outlet. Deep compassion is hidden within the sarcasm. Rabindranath Tyagi, the famous satirist and poet of his time says - 'I write poems when I am happy and satire when I am sad.’ Satire is a kind of sarcasm. A man will lose his mind if he doesn’t get an outlet to express his dissatisfaction. There may be hidden humour within satire, but satire is not written to make you laugh, it is written to make you aware of the situation. Priyadarshi says that in DAV Inter College, Banaras, Shri Krishnadev Prasad Gaur i.e. Bedhab Banarasi was his principal. Perhaps it is through him, he had had the seeds of satire-writing in him. Hope this satire will entice you as well as annoy you.
