Vanni Tree (Prosopis Spicigera) is a holy tree in hindu tradition belongs to Fabaceae. However this is very rare and found only in a few places. Vanni tree is worshipped on Vijaya Dasami. The Shami said to be helpful to pregnant women and can prevent miscarriage. It is used to treat a variety of other ailments such as asthma, bronchitis, dysentery, leukoderma, leprosy, muscle tremors and piles.
