This book entitled "Heritage, Cultural and Natural Sites Tourism" deals with the subject in its totality. An introduction is provided on monuments; cultural and natural heritage sites; antiquities; and cultural and heritage tourism. List of world heritage sites in different pasts of world have been covered in details, along with the new incribed properties. A management perspective have been given herein with respect to heritage conservation, preservation, restoration and protection. This book also lists in detail the various organizations and agencies related to cultural and natual heritage management, such as IUCN, ICOSM, INTBAU, CHIN, INTACH, etc. Similarly select study of important heritage sites protected around the world has been done. This book also lists select national acts, initiatives, programmes and success stories with respect to cultural heritage sites management, particularly with the use of traditional knowledge and wisdom. This book is further supported with annulated bibliography, heritage library list and index. The readers would definitely find this book very useful in both theoretical and functional terms. About the Author Prem Nath Dhar (b. 1940) has been associated with the travel and tourism business for over thirty years. He has worked with Travel Corporation of India (Bombay), Mercury Travels and Tradewings in facilitation, group tours, transport and airports. He has been for the past five years on the experts panel for travel and tourism management courses conducted by various government and semi-government agencies. He is also a member of the Travel Agents Association of India, Pacific Air Travel Association and the India Chapter of International Assocition of Travel Agents.
