The Mark of Athena is the third book in the pentalogy of young-adult fiction novels, Heroes of Olympus, written by Rick Riordan. Summary of the Book This novel begins from where The Son of Neptune had left off. It follows the alternating Greek demigods: Annabeth Chase, Leo Valdez, Piper McLean, and Percy Jackson; and the Roman Demigods: Jason Grace, Hazel Levesque, and Frank Zhang. Annabeth is about to be reunited with Percy, but she is terrified as it look like Camp Jupiter is preparing for war. She cannot blame the Roman demigods for thinking their ship as a Greek weapon. All she can do is hope that Jason’s appearance on the deck will reassure the Romans that the Camp Half-Blood visitors are coming in peace. But her biggest fear of all is the thought that Percy might have changed and is more attached to Roman ways. Does Percy make her fear come true?
