Over a quarter of the world's states are located in Africa where one can find a surprisingly large number of international organizations. Many of these organizations frequently change their names, membership, levels of activity, and sometimes even purpose. Providing readers with a tool to cut through the confusion, this work traces changes in the development and progression of these organizations.
