J. P. Mittal’s History of Ancient India (A New Version): From 7300 B.C. to 4250 B.C. (Vol. 2) is a comprehensive book on Indian history based on discovers and excavations made recently, which have provided more evidences about the ancient times. The book explains how some mythological characters did exist as historical figures and hoe the recent discoveries in different parts of India have poured light on this fact. The book has several maps of ancient states and territories, photographs and figures that help in easy understanding of different topics. The book is referred as an authoritative text on ancient Indian history as it focuses on facts and figures rather than mysteries, mythology, supernatural powers and miracles. About J. P. Mittal J. P. Mittal is a retired Joint Director from Indian Defence Estates Service. He was previously a Civil Engineer by profession. He is also the author of History of Ancient India (A New Version): From 7300 B.C. to 4250 B.C. (Vol. 1) and has compiled all the Cantonment Laws and Rules from 1800 A.D. till date, which is used as a reference book by judges and advocates of all courts in India. Dr Mittal is also a recipient of Humboldt Research Award, Platinum Jubilee Award of ISCA and the esteemed Padma Shri award (2003).
