Behind every work of art are archetypes, as also behind every event, parallel events. Without taking a theoretical position on the age-old question whether life imitates art or art imitates life, the stories in Home and the World show that it is possible to look at the relationship between the two, life and art, either way. The focus is on current issues within the walls of home and outside in social, cultural, and political spheres, mainly the last, both divided and fractured, broadcast internationally by newspapers, TV, and social media round the clock, and stories in the collection—likely, unlikely, impossible, all mingled in some instances-- make an attempt to provide all nine rasas while enlarging readers' perspective and understanding through multiple narrative forms, characters, settings, and styles.
