Human Geography written by Majid Husain is a reference book, which gives an in-depth account of human evolution in the Indian sub-continent, the geographical impact on the same, with well-researched facts about the different races, their customs and culture, the development of these cultures, and the part played by geographical facts on these developments. The importance of rivers, agricultural lands, availability of water, and such factors for the development of civilizations and the resultant urbanization are well established by the author. As is evident from the title, the book deals with human races at the macro level.
