I am Oscar: Life is Freaky by Ken Spillman is a novel for children above nine years of age. It is about the fictional character called Oscar, a school boy himself. Summary of the Book Oscar is the protagonist of the story. He is a school boy who is going through many troubles as a student as well as issues with his family. He is a fatherless kid and his mother is a confused woman who is not so considerate of his kids. Oscar has a sister who is also a weirdo. And when at school, he is often at the receiving end of pranks and teasing. He is flooded with post-it notes and is not allowed to use a phone or even Facebook. He has a deep liking for cricket and also for a girl at school. While life is getting freakier, would Oscar be able to stand his ground strong? What will happen with his sports and love interests? I am Oscar: Life is Freaky depicts the struggles of the little boy, which strikes a chord with the young, innocent minds. The book has a very attractive cover page illustration and is an enchanting read for children who like reading fiction. About Ken Spillman Ken Spillman is an Australian writer and author.
