Oliver Twist is an orphan who grows up at a workhouse. Oliver is apprenticed to an undertaker where he is mercilessly beaten one night. He runs away the next morning and ends up with a gang of pickpockets in London. Oliver gets injured while helping them burglarise a house but the kind owners nurse him back to health. Amidst all this drama, Oliver is reunited with his real family.
