Not so much a text as a philosophical adventure story featuring characters with whom readers can identify and through whose eyes they can experience the ideas directly. The narrator of the story spends several days and nights at the Oracle of Delphi where he is, in his dreams, guided through questions of consciousness, dream vs. reality, the nature of the self and personal identity, the practice of philosophy, the search for wisdom and the meaning of life.
