This book is for all readers who have the curiosity to know about history and polity of the country. The book gives us an overview of social,political issues of pre-independence India at the national and provincial level. It will helpful for people who want to know and study about the freedom struggle and provincial legislature. During the freedom struggle, unity and communal issues both were there. How these debates had taken place in the public sphere and at provincial legislature along with these events women's political participation also began at the provincial level which played a great role in freedom struggle. The book examines all these events and issues with a new perception. Dr. Mohammad Rais Khan did his higher studies from University of Allahabad(A Central University). He had also studied from Delhi University and regional universities for specific courses.He was Post Doctoral Fellow at Delhi University ( Awarded UGC Dr. S. Radhakrishanan Post Doctoral National Fellowship ). He was associated with Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi for research project and teaching . He taught in institutions of Delhi University for few years. Currently, through the recommendation of UPSC, New Delhi, he is posted at Union Territory of Puducherry in the Department of Higher and Technical Education.
