About Fali S. Nariman Fali Sam Nariman, born in 1929, is an illustrious Indian jurist of the Indian Constitution. Nariman’s autobiography is titled Before Memory Fades. Since 1971, he has been senior advocate to the Supreme Court of India. From 1991, he has also been the President of the Bar Association of India. He was the Additional Solicitor General of India for three years in the 1970s. Nariman graduated with a B.A. in History and Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, and then completed his L.L.B from the Government Law College, Mumbai. He won the Padma Bhushan in 1991 and was nominated as a Rajya Sabha member from 1999 to 2005. In 2007, he became the recipient of the Padma Vibhushan. The author has also won the Gruber Prize for Justice in 2002. Nariman has been married to Bapsi F. Nariman for almost sixty years. They live in Colaba, Mumbai.
