This present works deals with various changes in the borders on the North West Frontier Province of India (now in Pakistan) and the Afghan and Pamir region. In writing this book the author has drawn upon information that he has witnessed, or known personally. There are 17 chapters in this book that deal with the various geographical areas that have witnessed frequent changes in their borders. Among the areas noticed are : the areas of the Afghan war in 1879-80; Waziristan; Takht-e Sulaiman; the Russo – Afghan Boundary commission; the Durand boundary; the Kunar valley; Kafiristan; the Pamirs; the Perso – Baluch boundary; the NWFP; and Tirah. The book ends with a short history of Afghanistan. This edition has 22 illustrations and 1 map
