The book’s first part, “A Thousand-Branched Tree” introduces the reader to the scientists of ancient India and their discoveries, the influence of India’s culture over many parts of the world, the country’s contributions in the fields of art and culture, and the deep-rooted respect for nature and the environment. The last section, “India and the World”, looks into the stereotypes, distortions and complete lies that have defamed India. In his book, Indian Culture And India’s Future, the author states that Indian culture is not an ancient relic, but something that is ever changing and still has a very important role to play in shaping the country’s identity. It is also an answer to many of the challenges that the world faces today. Written in a clear and engaging style, the book is an attempt to answer questions like what is the meaning of being an Indian.
