Suniti Namjoshi is an eminent diaspora writer who has lived mostly in the U.S, Canada and England. But her writing is Indian to the core. The book analyses the use of myths and the fusion of Indian and Western folklore in her works. It draws our attention to women’s suppression in the male-dominated society and offers a lesbian feminist perspective on gender issues.
