Although the focus of this volume is on India of 1993, yet it provides useful review of significant developments of not only India but also the world as a whole. A Comparative study of the indicators of development with regard to 186 countries has been included. An attempt has been made to provide almost all embracing facts and figures with regard to various sectors of development in India since 1947. A detailed account has been given about important aspects as well as other topical areas of significance.
