Instant Manager: Managing Yourself is a book that helps modern-day managers improve their career prospects effectively. The book provides ways in which a person can enhance the different aspects of his managerial competency. This book teaches readers how to manage their personal resources, how to improve their professional and inter-personal skills, how to manage their time, and how to develop professional and personal networks. The highlight of the book is the interview with Andy Green, the head of Logica and former head of the BT Global Services. This book is divided into ten chapters, with each section covering one management topic. Every chapter ends with a section where the topic discussed is summarized, so that readers can remember what they have read. The format of the book is such that it is portable, readable, and comprehensive.
