Intellectual property is the creation of the human mind, the human intellect and hence is called ‘intellectual property’. It is also an asset. The most important feature of any property is that the owner or proprietor may use the property as he wishes and that nobody else can lawfully use that property without the owner’s authorization. Any property has to be saved in order to protect it from unauthorized use. Similarly, Intellectual Property (IP) also needs to be protected from infringement.
