He received his M.Tech in bioinformatics from Sastra University Thanjavur with honors and BE in biotechnology from GMIT Davangere (VTU) Karnataka. He is recipient of CVT Prathibha Puraskar. He has published over 30 scientific articles in the field of computational and experimental biotechnology in various international and national journals. Mr Abhilash has won awards for his research work and is involved in many collaborative projects including prestigious CSIR Open Source Drug Discovery project on annotation of M. tuberculosis. His main research areas include molecular modelling in silico drug design molecular simulation and dynamics. He is on the editorial boards and reviewer of several national and international journals in biotechnology and bioinformatics.
