Beauty. When the word 'Beauty' comes to the forefront, what do we all think about? Leisure. Pleasure. Astonishment. Amazement. Eye - popping. Gasp - inducing. Beautiful. That's what we all think about. But beauty is not a one - sided aspect in reality. Beauty is present everywhere: in people, in plants, in animals, in nature, in fashion, in books, in music, in films, etc. Beauty is a multidimensional quality. Without beauty, life is hard all around. It makes us see things only in black and white rather than taking notice of all the colors around us. It is impossible for us to find beauty, even in the most miniscule of places and circumstances, but once we manage to find it, we do not value it. We take it for granted. As the great Albert Einstein once said, "Try not to be a man of success, but rather, try to be a man of value". That is entirely true when it comes to beauty, it has value, ergo, it should be valued. Beauty is not just skin deep, it is the inner beauty that is omnipresent in every aspect of this world. It's not outer beauty that has to be appreciated, it's the inner beauty as well. Beauty is perceived by others in differing perspectives, what one perceives as beautiful, may not look beautiful to another, and vice versa. An interesting but well - known example would be "Beauty And The Beast". At first, the princess did not accept that the person she loved and appreciated turned into, well, a beast. She was unaware of the beast's love for her, since she was of the notion that only a human could love another human, and not a beast. But when the princess finally realizes the absolute truth, that beauty does not define a person, she falls in love with the beast, warts and all. She ultimately realized over time, that the beast was not who she thought it was, an angry, vile creature, but an enchanted prince who was cursed to live life as a beast. So not everything that glitters is actually gold, as the saying goes. So I conclude by saying that, do not be swayed by good looks, money or materialistic things, but pay attention to a person's character, because when character is absent, everything else is absent. This book will have a vast collection of poems that will, or might leave you with a lasting impression that beauty exists, not only in looks, but in the character that it exhibits. I hope this book will challenge the general notion that being beautiful is indeed a beautiful thing, but it does have its limitations. Too much of anything is good for nothing, and the same thing applies for beauty as well.
