This is the story of an American charter boat captain who, down on his luck, is forced to accept an impossible job - to skipper an unseaworthy boat with an unexperienced crew from Trinidad to Guadeloupe. Having overcome storms, leaks, engine trouble and mutiny he achieves his mission but is dealt a cruel blow at the end.
