He eventually comes to believe in a God who is not defined by religion or dogma, but who is present in all of creation.The New Dawn is the third and final part of the novel and it tells the story of Jean-Christophe's last years. He is now an old man and he is reflecting on his life. He is still full of passion and creativity, but he is also aware of his own mortality. He dies peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his loved ones.Jean-Christophe: Journey's End (Love And Friendship, The Burning Bush, The New Dawn) is a complex and moving novel that explores themes of love, friendship, spirituality, and art.
