Jujutsu Kaisen follows high school student Yuji Itadori, who swallows a powerful cursed talisman, the finger of the demon Sukuna, and becomes his host. To control Sukuna and find a way to exorcise him, Yuji enrolls in Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College, a school for Jujutsu Sorcerers. In this dark fantasy world, sorcerers manipulate "cursed energy" derived from negative human emotions to fight powerful "cursed spirits" and protect humanity, but Yuji must now learn to master his own inherited abilities while battling these threats.
