In Hindi literature, Pandit Jagannath Das 'Ratnakar'' 'Uddhav-Shatak' is particularly noteworthy. Apart from this Yugal Shatak, Sujan Shatak, Lal Shatak, Shailbala Shatak poetry-collection is also notable. Inspired by the above works of Hindi literature, the idea of ??publishing a minimum 100 poems of the post-modern period (21st century) came to mind. The culmination of which is this collection of poems 'Kavya Shatak: Chuni Hui Kavitayen'. Although not all the compositions in 'Kavya Shatak' belong to any one poet, yet the excellent poems of the best senior and budding poets of the present time have been given a place in 'Kavita-Shatak'.
