In an attempt to explore the essence of poetry after the establishment of body of words, poets engaged in various departures and theories of poetry have been investigated and exposed. These principles are - Rasa Siddhanta, Alankar Siddhanta, Riti Siddhanta, Sound Siddhanta, Revolution Siddhanta and Pradhyapan Siddhanta. Some of the principles mentioned above took the form of a community over a period of time and the regional community was designated by this concept. Two schools are considered to be major in the classical schools, they are Alankar school and sound theory. These different schools brought a radical change in the poetic critical world and gave a new direction to the poetic thought. This epoch-making principle was propounded in a book called 'Dhwanyalok', which molded the ideas, thoughts, beliefs and principles prevalent till its time in its new mold and as a pillar of light for the later teachers, due to which various currents of thinking flourished and became prestigious in the course of time. . Mahacharya Acharya Anandvardhan, the exponent of this classical Akargranth named 'Dhwanyalok', is the exponent of Karayitri and the originator of Bhavayitri talent. Propounding the idea of sound in his treatise called Dhwanyaloka, Acharya declared it as the soul of poetry and declared that sound element is not a new element, but it has been flowing from the ancient tradition, which he has given a clear and well-organized form. In a refined form, his book has been established in Dhwanyalok. In the course of sound establishment, Acharya criticized and re-evaluated the pre-existing poetic critical elements and succeeded in achieving the goal set before him.
