A khadi kurta is a traditional dress made up of Khadi, a handspun and handwowan fabric originating in India. Fabrics are usually made of cotton, although it can also be made from silk or wool. Khadi is known for its environmentally friendly, durable nature and its relationship for the Indian independence movement, as it was popular as a symbol of self -sufficiency by Mahatma Gandhi.
