This story is set in the seas and highlands of Scotland. David Balfour needs to find a way to set things right with his selfish uncle who has taken control of all the wealth to which David is the rightful heir. Summary of the Book After his father dies, David Balfour pays a visit to his uncle, Ebenezer. David's intention is to help his rich uncle, but Ebenezer attempts to kill him. When this fails, his uncle puts him on a ship filled with murderers. David soon gets to know that he is the rightful heir to the wealth that his uncle has gotten hold of. Is it too late for him to do something about it? About Robert Louis Stevenson Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson was a Scottish novelist and poet best remembered for his adventure novels, including Kidnapped and Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Stevenson is one of the most translated writers in history, and has many memorials dedicated to him throughout the world. Treasure Island was adapted into several hit films, including a version in 1950 by the Walt Disney Studio, and another in 2002, entitled Treasure Planet, which adapted the story with a futuristic vein through animation.
