Mulch to retain optimum soil moisture.Sow 2-3 seeds per mound in loosely packed soil at a depth of 1 inch. Pumpkin seeds will germinate in warm and moist growing conditions. Seedlings will appear within 12 to 15 days when the soil moisture is consistently above 20°C. Thin to one healthiest seedling per mound. Space each growing mound 6-8 feet apart for optimum fruit growth.
