Dav Pilkey’s The Adventures of Ook and Gluk Kung-Fu Cavemen from the Future is the second spin-off of Captain Underpants. Summary of the Book Ook and Gluk are two silly caveboys living in Caveland, Ohio, in 500,001 BC. They’re constantly getting into trouble with Big Chief Goppernopper, their leader. When an evil corporation invades them from the future, Ook, Gluk and their pet dinosaur, Lily, are dragged to 2222 AD. This futuristic world is even more messed up than their own, but they luckily find shelter under the wing of Master Wong, a martial arts teacher who trains them in kung fu. Now, they aim to return home one day, armed with their fists and the martial arts techniques. However, the way back is not as easy as they think. About Dav Pilkey Dav Pilkey is an American writer and illustrator. He is known for the Captain Underpants series of books. Pilkey also writes under the pseudonyms of George Beard and Harold Hutchins. He received the Caldecott Honor Award and California Young Reader Medal.
