The subject of this little book is the siege of the Residency in Lucknow, during the Revolt of 1857 It is a very personal account, and vividly recreated the days from May 15th to Dec. 28th, 1857 The book is in the form of daily entries (as the title suggests), that give short narrations of the trials that the besieged were experiencing. This book is a reprint of the 1858 edition
