Present work of the authors is a sincere attempt to analyze emerging legislative, executive and judicial trends in curbing corruption in India commencing from pre-independence period, post independence period including up-to-date scenario. For insight analysis on means of Corruption in India and its control mechanism through the weapon of Law, a perspective and comparative study of different other countries with India have also been made, as far as possible. It is needless to say that corruption is opposed to democracy and social order. It also affects national economy and cultural heritage of India. Causes of corruption depends upon socio economic factors and disparity amongst different classes of people. Lack of awareness belonging to different classes of people and fear has led to the birth of corruption. Due to technological and scientific development, the demand of people has reached to sky limit. The greatest barrier to development is massive corruption and it is not limited to a particular country but its magnitude differs from country to country. Keeping in view of gravity and quantum of corruption, authors have expressed their deep concern and highlighted their thought in their present work.
