The sciatic nerve connects from the lower back to one or both legs. A pain that radiates along this nerve is termed Sciatica. It is usually caused by the compression of a spinal nerve root in the lower back. The pain usually varies from a mild ache to a sharp and burning sensation that causes extreme pain. In this condition, one side of the body is mostly affected.
