Birds are the most fascinating creatures on our earth. They have figured prominently in human art and literature, since time immemorial. But more recently, bird-watching has become a widespread favourite pastime, and even a serious occupation in most of the countries. As a result, many popular books on birds have appeared, but most of these concentrate on the external appearance of the birds and are devoted to a description of the species that are found in a particular region of the world.
