Madhubala is a collection of Hindi poems by Harivanshrai Bachchan. Summary of the Book This book is inspired by the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, and the second in a trilogy of books by the poet. About Harivansh Rai Bachchan Harivansh Rai Shrivastav, better known as Harivansh Rai Bachchan, was a Hindi poet and a pioneer of the Chhayavaad literary movement. He is best known for poems such as Madhushala, Pranay Patrika, Tera Haar, and Bengal ka Kaavya. He is better remembered in current times as the father of the Bollywood film star: Amitabh Bachchan. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1976 for his contributions towards Hindi literature.
