Dr. Arjun Y. Pangannavar's 'Maha Kaavya Valmiki Ramayana: Baal Kaanda, Volume-1' is the epic poem, in folk-style Kannada language of north Karnataka, written on the basis of original epic poem Ramayana of Ancient poet Sage Valmiki with explanatory notes and analytical inferences. It focused on, first, the real life-story of the ancient poet Valmiki and second, Valmiki Ramayana’s Baal Kaanda wherein the efforts are made to filter the only relevant shlokas.
