Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication from Kurukshetra University; Master of Journalism and Mass Communication from Himachal Pradesh University and Doctorate in Journalism and Mass Communication from a U.S. Based university. He has represented India in several countries as a cultural ambassador. He has twice been the media observer of Press Council of India for the Lok Sabha elections. He has received several awards for his creative and notable writings. They include : 'International Vocational Award'; 'Rashtra Gaurav Samman' by Viswa Shanti Trust, Mumbai; 'Man of the Year 2003' by American Biographical Institute Inc., Carolina (USA); 'Institute Award' by Oriental Cultural academy, Bangkok (Thailand); 'Nissan-e-Muscat' by Sultanate of Oman and; 'Academy Award' by University of Media Arts, Noida.
