Description. Syzygium samarangense is a tropical tree that may reach a height of 12 meters (39 feet) and has evergreen leaves 10-25 centimeters (4-10 in) long and 5-10 centimeters (2-4 in) wide. The leaves are elliptic in shape but round at the bottom; they emit a pleasant perfume when crushed.
