Yadav is a Senior Faculty Member in Finance and Accounting Area at the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi. He did his post-graduation specialising in Finance and Accounting with first position from Panjab University, Chandigarh and subsequently obtained Ph. D. from Delhi. He has a long teaching experience and is actively involved in research, training and consultancy. He has worked as a Senior Faculty Member in Northern India Banks Staff Training College, New Delhi. He is the founder member of Indian Financial Management Association and also on the Editorial Board of the Indian Journal of Finance and Research. He has published a number of research papers in reputed Journals and is the author of books namely Financial Rations and The Prediction of Corporate Failure; and Management and Monitoring of Industrial Sickness which won the DMA-ESCORTS Best Book Award 1986. His research papers entitled Working Capital Management: A Parametric Approach (1986); and Sick Industrial Companies Legislation: Remedy or the Palliative (1987) won the Best Article Awards 1986 and 1987 respectively of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
