The text of this edition of the book has been specially presented such that it will explain in a simple way the theoretical aspects of the subject to the dental students. Chapters are well written concise and the contents are easy to understand and grasp. The format of the information provided is examination-oriented and hence students of dentistry would find the book very useful to prepare for their examinations. The lucidly written text has been well illustrated by two-colour diagrams that will help the readers understand the basics easily. This textbook aims to meet the requirements of dental students for study of biochemistry. About the Author Shivananda Nayak is on the faculty of Department of Biochemistry as Associate Professor Kasturba Medical College Manipal Academy of Higher Education (deemed University). He is currently teaching in the Department of Pre-Clinical Sciences Biochemistry Unit Faculty of Medical Sciences The University of West Indies. Dr. Nayak has more than 15 years of teaching experience in medical and dental institutions and has published more than 25 papers in national and international scientific journals. He is a life member of Indian Association of Clinical Chemists member of American Association for Clinical Chemists (AACC) and Association for South-Asian Clinical Chemists. He has been awarded the International Travel Grant Award from AACC for his excellent service in the field of clinical chemistry.
