Manorama, authored by Munshi Premchand, is a social novel that delves into the plights of women through the character called Manorama, who is a queen. About Munshi Premchand Munshi Premchand was one of India’s most famous writers in Hindustani literature. He started writing under the pen name Nawab Rai and eventually changed it to Premchand. He was born as Dhanpat Rai Srivastav. His writings are acclaimed to be rationalistic and realistic. He often used his works as a means to spread awareness and shed light on some of the most important social and political issues. He is the author of Rangbhoomi, Premashram, Seva Sadan, Pratigya and Duniya Ka Sabse Anmol Ratan.
