In the present era of automation, we find lot of electronic systems are used on-board. The main task of marine engineers on-board ship is to monitor and control the process parameters e.g. pressure, temperature, flow, level, speed, torque etc. Now a days all this can be done using electronic systems. The main job of nautical officers on-board ship is to navigate the ship. Now a days all this also can be done using Radio transmitters and receivers, Radar etc. The ETO on-board ship needs to handle HV and Electric propulsion system, again the propulsion speed can be varied using variable frequency converters. So in short almost every where on board ship we require electronic systems for safe, energy efficient and environmental friendly sustainable green shipping.
