Marvel presents the origin story of the Amazing Spider-Man in this book for kids. Summary of the Book Peter Parker is a brilliant teenager. He is constantly bullied at school, but at least his scores are good. He considers a future in research, studying for the betterment of mankind. However, all his dreams change when a school trip goes awry. He is bitten by a radioactive spider and develops strange mutant powers. He can crawl on walls, jump higher than humanly possible and lift cars with relative ease. He decides to use these powers for profit, but what he doesn’t know is that one mistake is going to cost him the life of a person he loves more than anyone else in the world. Return to the beginning of the Spider-Man story as Peter Parker learns the lesson that will change his life forever: with great power comes great responsibility.
